Session
I & III
Team / Individual Camp
The goal of this camp is to spend
4 days having a blast playing the game of volleyball, learning new
techniques, developing team chemistry and exposing teams to new
concepts and strategies. The coaches will cover individual skills
(passing, setting, attacking, blocking, serving) as well as team
concepts (offensive systems, defensive patterns, serve receive patterns,
transition). There will be a day and a half of training followed
by two days of competition. Individuals may also attend. They ill
be skill tested and put on teams. The emphasis for this camp is
on building team concepts within each group of players. (Ages 12-18)

Both weeks of camp are designed for teams. However, we will accommodate
individuals by placing you on independent teams based on age and
skill level. Be sure to indicate on the registration form if you
are coming as an individual.***
Note:
Campers may be bused to auxiliary gyms.
HOUSING AND MEALS
Two
FSC resident halls will be used to house the campers in single or
double rooms. Camp staff will stay in the dorms and supervise the
campers. Campus Safety and Hall Coordinators are also on duty 24 hours
a day.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are
provided daily for all resident campers (Mon.-Wed.) on the Florida
Southern campus. The first meal will be breakfast after the first
night of camp. Be sure to eat dinner before coming to the first session.
Lunch on the final day of camp will be the last meal of the camp.
Commuter campers will be provided lunch and dinner meals only.
HOW
TO REGISTER
Camp enrollment is limited;
therefore, early registration is strongly suggested. To register
follow the steps below:

Complete the online registration
form including a parent/guardian signature.

Send a $100 deposit for each
camp you plan to attend in the mail or use a credit card when
registering online. There is a $12 processing fee each time you
pay with credit card, so we ask that you pay in full when using
this method. All deposits are refundable (less a $25 administration
fee) until May 1st. After May 1st the deposit is forfeited.

A current health physical
form is also required prior to camp participation. (Your 2010-2011
school physical will meet this requirement.) You can send the
health form in at a later date, as long as it is submitted before
the camp begins.

REGISTRATION
AND CHECK-IN
Resident campers are to report to Jenkins
Field House Sunday afternoon between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m. Final
registration and room assignments will be made at this time. Double
& single rooms will be assigned.
WHAT
TO BRING
Pillow,
twin sheets, blanket, towels, toilet articles, alarm clock, knee
pads, socks, volleyball shoes, swim suit, jacket, p.j.'s, underclothes,
shorts and T-Shirts, soap for the laundry machines, camera and
film. Remember, you will be here for four days, so bring enough
clothes!
Camp store will have snacks
and drinks, as well as volleyball souvenirs, t-shirts, socks and
knee pads on sale.
No coolers are
allowed in dorm rooms.
